We are a family-owned bakery located in beautiful Oak Park, IL.
Our bakery is nestled along South Blvd, just off the Oak Park Green Line station in the historic Hemingway District - right down the street where Ernest Hemingway was born!
We can't wait to welcome you into our bakery to enjoy a homemade slice of pie and a cup of coffee.
Spilt Milk's Roots
Sisters Molly & Meg Svec started Spilt Milk in 2014 baking out of Molly's apartment kitchen in Pilsen. We sold our homemade pies & pastries at the Pilsen Farmer's Market, and baked for events & weddings for friends and neighbors. Slowly but surely, our business grew - customers loved our classic flavors baked with locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. By 2016, we were ready for a storefront of our own - and we opened the doors to Spilt Milk Pastry where we proudly serve the Oak Park community to this day!

We are honored to work with many local Midwest farms including Mick Klug Farms, Ellis Family Farms, Slagel Family Farms, Lamer's Dairy, Nichols Farm, Metric Coffee, SPIRIT tea, and more.
Our specialty at Spilt Milk is pie - a traditionally humble dessert! Our absolute favorite flavors are Heirloom Apple Pie and Key Lime Pie, but we have LOTS of amazing recipes in rotation, and are always thinking up fun new flavor combos to share with you.
We carry a wide selection of homemade pastries in our bakery case every day - from flaky buttermilk biscuits to homemade croissants, tons of cookies, muffins, scones, and more! There's always something new to try at Spilt Milk. Everything you see in our bakery case is homemade right here at our shop in Oak Park, IL by our talented team of bakers!
