A little back story on the shirt design...

Our good friend and talented artist Megan Pryce did the design for the shirts. (She is the same artist who painted the mural on the front of our shop in Pilsen, when we were open down there for a spell...and Megan and Meg were also on the swim team together in high school

The inspiration for the shirt design came from the origins of our new building at 811 South Blvd in Oak Park, IL. Neighbor and fellow Oak-Parker Lori McConnell shared some history of the building Spilt Milk now resides in, when we first moved in back in March. One of the first businesses to occupy this building (maybe even THE first) was The Women’s Exchange of Oak Park Tea Shop, run by proprietor Ms. Edna Spencer. The slogan Ms. Spencer used for her pies was, “Our Pies Are Delicious”!

We wanted to give a nod to the history of this space with the artwork for this shirt, and Megan did an amazing job bringing it to life!
